Provenance
Post-mortem kit was formerly owned by Harvard Medical School pathologist S. Burt Wolbach. The kit was given by Wolbach to colleague Clinton Van Zandt Hawn when Hawn was Pathologist-in-Chief at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital and Associate Professor in Pathology at Harvard Medical School in 1951 and 1952. Wolbach gave Hawn the kit after their work together. Hawn died in 2002 and the kit was donated to the Warren Anatomical Museum by his daughter.
