Provenance

These remains were likely acquired after passage of the 1898 Act Relative to the Promotion of Anatomical Science in Massachusetts, which permitted unclaimed remains to be utilized in medical education. Probably originating from an unkown body originally a dissection room subject, this foot mount was prepared by Parkman Professor of Anatomy Thomas Dwight. Dwight later donated a large collection of osteological preparations, including this one, to the Warren Anatomical Museum in 1910.
