B-Scanner and Polaroid Camera, 1950-1970

Polaroid

.001: Yellow rectangular-shaped B-scanner. Scanner has silver handle on top and screen on one end. Under screen are three knobs, three switches, and two cord ports. Attached to scanner there is a long grey power cord and thin grey cord with plastic wand at the end. Bulk of machine is seated on four small black posts holding machine approximately half-inch off surface. Rear side of scanner has two hooks, presumably for securing the power cord. .002 is a Polaroid camera with three boxes of 667 Polaroid film. The film boxes are blue, and two boxes hold twenty prints and one box holds ten. The camera is large and black and attaches to the B-scanner. Camera has Tominon 75mm lens. There is one additional metal camera attachment.

Warren Anatomical Museum Catalog Number: 21550.001-.002

This B-scanner was owned by Dr. H. Richard Tyler, who used it in both his laboratory at Brigham and Women's Hospital and in his private practice. In July of 2014, Dr. Tyler donated this B-scanner, along with a perimeter, to the Warren Anatomical Museum.
