The Harvard Unit had a surgical staff, under Harvey Cushing, of ten, a medical staff, under Richard P. Strong, of three, and four nurses. Elliott Carr Cutler, a graduate of the Medical School in 1913, published his diary recounting the experiences of the American Ambulance unit soon after his return.
