1527. Cast in plaster of a man’s head, tho’ which an bar, weighing 13 ¼ lbs, pressed; the man not merely recovering very rapidly, but being able to convey freely and astionally about immediately after the accident. The cast shows how the frontal lobe was lifted up in the upward left and age of the bar thro’ the head. The case was purchased by Dr. B. in the American Journal of Medical Sciences for July 1850. For a copy of the case see a collection of Pamphlets by Dr. B. in the College Library. – 1856. Dr. H. J. Bigelow
1528. A skull prepared by Dr. B. to show the course that the bar must have taken in traveling the head, in the case above referred to. – 1858. Dr. H. J. Bigelow.
1529. A cast in iron of the bar above referred to H. was made at the Foundry near the College; the original having been deposited in the Cabinet of the College for some time. – 1856. Warren Museum.
