Description
The second homeopathic practitioner in Massachusetts and the first to practice in Boston, Dr. Josiah Foster Flagg became convinced of the efficacy of homeopathy after obtaining relief from chronic dyspepsia. This case book, listing patients treated and medicines prescribed, covers the 1839 to 1841 period and here, in Flagg's first case, he records treatment for his wife's constipation, following advice from homeopaths Federal Vanderburgh and Gideon Humphrey.
