Description
Dr. Jacob Bigelow held the professorship of materia medica at Harvard and was instrumental in publication of the first edition of the Pharmacopoeia of the United States in 1820. He was also the founder of the Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge.
Jacob Bigelow was a Trustee of the Boston Medical Library.
