Dr. James Martinowsky was born in 1953 in Washington Heights, New York
He has moderate factor VIII deficiency and hepatitis C. He is married and has one teenage son. James is a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist teaching and practicing in the Boston area.. He attended medical school in New York City, training and practicing on the same wards and clinics where he was treated for his hemophilia as a child. He believes the long-term psychological damage from hemophilia often outweighs the physical.
