Description
After initial attachment to General Hospital No. 4 in the British Expeditionary Force, Frank W. Snow was then assigned to Camp Hospital No. 12 in the A.E.F. in April 1918 and appointed officer in command there. He was transferred to Camp Hospital No. 41 early in 1919, returning to the United States in July. Snow was awarded the Médaille d'honneur des affaires étrangères and cited for his "exceptionally meritorious and conspicuous services at Camp Hospital No. 12" by General Pershing.
Snow's original album contains interior and exterior photographs of the two A.E.F. camp hospitals--No. 12 in Le Valdahon and 41 in Is-sur-Tille.
The photographs show Ward A for respiratory diseases; the laboratory; the office from the front; and the receiving office.
