Abstract

Large dissectible sagittal model of man's face. Model is red, white, blue, and brown in color and displays human facial anatomy. Model is held together with metal frame. Several parts of model are labeled in French.

Provenance

This sagittal face model was created by the firm of Louis Thomas Jerome Auzoux in Saint-Aubin-d’Ecroville, France. It was purchased by Jonathan Mason Warren between 1832 and his death in 1867. It was donated to the Harvard Department of Anatomy by his son, John Collins Warren II, between 1867 and 1927. In June of 2014, the Program for Medical Education at Harvard Medical School transferred this model to the Warren Anatomical Museum.
