Abstract

Urology instrument set in polished wooden box. Rectangular wooden box has brass plate on lid with handle, two latches, keyhole, and metal indented lift area. Interior of box is lined with faded brown felt material. Felt under instruments is still original red color. Set contains two lithotrites, one catheter, and one large syringe. Small compartment in box contains silver-colored key on string and small pointed piece of metal on string. According to labels on and in box, this set originally belonged to Dr. Samuel Cabot.
