Description
Dr. Folkman continued the tumor growth research he started at the Naval Medical Research Institute in his own laboratory at Children's Hospital Medical Center. In this August 1968 journal entry, Folkman writes: "Could growing tumors secrete a substance which is carcinogenic and continues to breakdown intracellular inhibitors which would normally block mitosis or at least keep it in check?"
