Entertainment
During the course of the AMA meeting, demonstrations, lectures, models, photographs and slides, and other anatomical, pathological and scientific exhibits were all mounted in the amphitheaters, laboratories, and gallery space intended for the collections of the Warren Anatomical Museum in the administration building. The Warren Anatomical Museum itself was still in the Boylston Street building, but was also open to the AMA members.
Among the more notable aspects of the meeting were the afternoon musical teas for delegates, members, and visitors on the Quad, prefiguring the events of the formal dedication in the fall.
J. Collins Warren (left) was the chairman of the Entertainment Committee for the teas on the afternoons of June 5th, 6th, and 7th. The woman at his side may be Mrs. Roger Wolcott who organized the afternoon teas at the Medical School.
"Here the members who have been attending the meetings of their sections in the halls and amphitheaters of the different buildings will spend a restful hour with their friends or wander through the long corridors and spacious laboratories."
Over 200 tables were arranged over the terraces, and refreshments were served by members of the Vincent Club—in nurse-like white uniforms—and other Boston society organizations.
