Eva Neer
Dr. Eva Neer spent most of her career working in the Cardiovascular Unit at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Her research focused on how a particular class of proteins function to facilitate vision, smell and taste, and led to the discovery of a new class of G proteins. Her findings, considered controversial at the time, changed the medical community’s view of how G proteins work.
